Marson Fabrics London- Printed Textiles Live Project














Liz Cozens Textiles Designer and Colourist at Marson Fabrics London met with Paul Murphy Pathway Leader Printed Textiles and Second Year Printed Textiles students in the Red Shed this week to look through their Live Project Design work.

Designers from Marson Fabrics visited students earlier in the semester to talk about the fashion print industry, future design trends and to set a fashion print design brief. Students created a collection of digital designs which were printed using the departments digital fabric and paper printers. 

Congratulations to Stephanie Hudson and Lizzie Bills who will be joining Marson Fabrics for work experience in the near future.

Bucks Textiles student wins second Bradford Textiles Society award!

Emma Pengilly, first year Textiles and Surface design student, has won the Bradford Textiles Society PREMIÈRE VISION AWARD. The prize includes a sponsored visit to Première Vision Autumn/Winter Salon as a special guest. Emma has promised to stop by our stand SHED Textiles to see 2011 graduate textiles collection.

Bradford Textiles Competition awards























First Year Textiles and Surface Design Students Salina Janzan and Chloe Brazier 
attended the Bradford Textiles Design Competition award ceremony this week. 


Chloe won  first and Salina second prize in the Clothworkers' Foundation award 
- a knitted fabric in any fibre or blend.

The Bradford Textile Society Design Competition is recognised as being the most 
prestigious competition of its kind in the United Kingdom. This year a record number 
of almost 900 entries was received into the competition.
